The Words That Are Speaking
What a difference a day makes 24 hours. It takes 21 days to create a new habit.

WOW can you believe it, 2009 is here!  I know so many of us already put into mind what we want from this year.  It may be a diet, isn’t everyone dieting in some way even if it is only for 5 pounds.

Shall we go a little deeper, a new job considering the economy, it probably is more what can make the current job better.  Imagine creating something new in 21 days, a new home, a new waistline or maybe breaking a habit of smoking.

The American Lung Association claims each year there are an estimation of 430,700 smoking related diseases.  So how does one begin to change rid their self of smoking, changing a habit they have had longer then they truly want to admit.  We each have some habit we are ready even eager to get rid of.

I believe as with all things change begins in a full decision, a total voluntary commitment, a true wanting, and eagerness ready to make the change.  The change we are each looking for could be one of simplicity that has simply been waiting to tackle.  To change our habits just enough to get rid of those few extra pounds or the changes it takes to increase our health.  It could be a commitment to going to the gym we just joined, to stretch those muscles as we promised we would.  Certain some have made the promise to slightly change to actually pick up the phone to make those appointments, to make time to finish reading that book or simply to make time to listen.

The prospect to achieve change comes from so many avenues just as many as we each are individuals.  Yes, we each have opinions how to go about change, how to allow our self to grow, or how fast change can take place within us.  There are many disciplines of thought ranging from as old as time that change only comes slowly as the new belief that change can happen instantly.

Either way it begins with your decision is it time to allow change to come. It all begins by simply choosing the one that feels right to you.  Some ready to expand their mind go for change quickly, smoothly and eagerly as a new adventure to experience.  Others approach change as a chore fighting each step and wanting it simply to be over as quickly as possible.

Change always is, yes even for those who simply sit. When you take that instant to prepare for your change, to conqueror and accomplish your New Year’s resolution remember it came from deep within you. Allow yourself to acknowledge the change you want, the challenge of change you now place in front of you and how quickly you want this newness within your grasp once you make your decision to do so. Change is ready for you and your decision states that you are ready too.

How will you tackle your change?

How will you approach this mind set?

Is it a challenge filled with adventure or is it a chore simply waiting to be over?
